INSEAD’s Professor Is Keynote Speaker For CTW 2003 International Line-up of Speakers for 6th Regional Conference

Singapore, 15 September 2003 – Paul Evans, Professor of Organisational Behavior at INSEAD in Fontainebleau and Shell Chaired Professor of Human Resources and Organisational Development, will deliver the keynote presentation at the 6th Corporate Travel World (CTW) Conference.

Managing Director Darren Ng from the organisers of CTW says, “ We’re delighted to have a very distinguished keynote speaker from an internationally renown institution to address the industry this year. INSEAD is widely recognised among the world's top-tier business schools and the only business school with full-fledged campuses in Asia - in Singapore and in Europe. ”

“ Prof Evans’ keynote speech on managing change in the Asian environment will set the scenario for this year’s theme of ‘Charting the New World of Corporate Travel, ” said Mr Ng.

Prof Evans has a PhD in Management and Organisational Psychology from the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management at M.I.T., an MBA from INSEAD, and he is a graduate in law from Cambridge University.

He is known as one of the world’s most influential scholars and teachers in the field of international human resource management, and his most recent book was published in 2002 – “The Global Challenge: Frameworks for International Human Resource Management”. His concept of harnessing tension, based on one of his articles, was recently singled out by a leading US publication as one of “the ten best business ideas”.

For the last fifteen years, Prof Evans has tried to spend two months each year undertaking research and teaching in the South-East Asian region, long believing that this region would become a hub of international economic activity.

With support from the National Business Travel Association in the US and the Australasian Business Travel Association in Australia, many international speakers from the US, UK, Australia and Asia are scheduled to speak on the changes and challenges that recent events have inflicted on the travel and tourism industry.

Corporate Travel World (CTW) 2003 is -scheduled to run from 2nd to 4th December 2003 at Meritus Mandarin in Singapore that is also the Official Hotel and the exhibition venue for CTW 2003.
